Saddle Brook, NJ – May 2, 2023 – As the U.S. housing market continues to fluctuate, Bergen County, NJ is riding the same wave of changes. The month of March has since seen an uptick in sales and homebuyer activity, with most folks celebrating a victory in the drop in mortgage rates during the beginning of the spring season, where the majority of contracts were signed. Mortgage rates this month are back up to 7%, from 6% just a few weeks ago.

Saddle Brook, NJ – May 2, 2023 – Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR), REALTORS® Care Foundation (RCF) and Community Service Committee joined Rebuilding Together North Jersey (RTNJ) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 164 on April 29th, for National Rebuilding Day 2023. The group, with over 50 volunteers from the association, helped repair a home in New Milford, NJ, for single mother, Ms. Littrean and her two young children. A weekend prior, the team of dedicated members were on site at Ms. Littrean's home to begin demolition and prep-work for the April 29^th event.

April 10, 2023. In March, Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR) Community Service Committee launched its Nurture Future Talent initiative, a program introducing students at Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, NJ to post-secondary career options in Real Estate and other industries.

Saddle Brook, NJ – April 6, 2023 – Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR) 501c3 charity organization, the REALTORS® Care Foundation (RCF) was recently honored with the “Community Partner Award” at the 2023 Evening of Hope Gala of community partner, Center For Hope & Safety (CFHS).  

RCF 2023 President, Maureen Mamunes, received the award on behalf of her fellow Board of Trustees, stating, ““The REALTORS Care Foundation is honored to be recognized by the Center For Hope & Safety, among other non-profit organizations that share a love and dedication to bettering our communities and those who need our help.”

The evening highlighted the advancements that Black American homeowners and REALTORS® have made over the years through adversities within the real estate industry.
