U.S. Existing-home Sales Advanced For Third Straight Month
Saddle Brook, NJ – February 27, 2025 - U.S. existing-home sales advanced for the third straight month, climbing 2.2% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.24 million units, a 10-month high, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). Sales were up 9.3% year-over-year, driven largely by purchases of homes priced $500,000 and above. Month-over-month, sales rose in the South, Northeast, and the West but fell in the Midwest, with all four regions reporting year-over-year gains.

The celebration was an opportunity for association members, family, and friends to honor the legacy of those who were changemakers throughout history, recognizing forward progress in homeownership for Black Americans, with educational real estate resources.

Saddle Brook, NJ – January 27, 2025 - Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR), REALTORS® Care Foundation (RCF) hosted their annual 2024 RCF Grant Award Ceremony at GBR Headquarters in Saddle Brook, NJ on Thursday, January 23, 2025. This year, the RCF awarded $165,050.00 in grant awards to 47 local non-profit organizations.
“I am proud to continue the RCF's goal of raising funds to support initiatives aimed at elevating the well-being of the community,” says 2025 RCF President, Shana Sanchez. “It is so rewarding to see exactly what our grants are going toward within each of these amazing organizations, and how they truly make a difference."
U.S. Existing-Home Sales Improved For The Second Consecutive Month
Saddle Brook, NJ – January 24, 2025 - U.S. existing-home sales improved for the second consecutive month, rising 4.8% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.15 million units, an eight-month high, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). Sales were up 6.1% compared to the same time last year, marking the largest year-over-year increase since June 2021. Economists had forecasted existing home sales would come in at an annual rate of 4.07 million units for the month.
“The latest report reflects a real estate market still hampered by low inventory and high interest rates. The slight increase in home prices reflect a stable market, however the lack of sufficient supply and interest rate relief fails to provide the engine for growth so desperately needed,” states Greater Bergen REALTORS® 2025 Vice President, John Johnson.

Number Of Homes For Sale Continues To Improve Nationwide
Saddle Brook, NJ – December 27, 2024 - U.S. existing-home sales rose 3.4% month-over-month and 2.9% year-over-year to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.96 million units, exceeding economists’ expectations for the month and marking the first annual gain since July 2021, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). Lower mortgage rates in late summer and early fall helped sales increase across all four regions.

This year, under the leadership of Chair Dora Omana, Vice Chair Enkelana Drizaj, and Board Liaison Alireza Memar, the GBC has focused on retaining its legacy of leadership in global initiatives within the tri-state area.
