[Waldwick, NJ – September 29, 2020 ] –The Greater Bergen Realtors® (GBR) Young Professionals Network (YPN) hosted a back-to-school supply drive for local school-aged children to ensure that kids have the supplies they need as they return to the classroom even if most have returned to a remote or virtual classroom. The school drive ran through the month of September; as a result, they were able to collect a little over $500.00 worth of supplies for the kids.
Joseph Licata, Chief Executive Officer of the Boys and Girls Club of Lodi/Hackensack, said, “The Covid-19 Pandemic has been very difficult for our organization and the families we serve. In our time of need, the Greater Bergen Realtors Young Professionals Network has truly stepped up to help those who need it the most. Over the summer, the group supported our families by providing them with food security, and now in this new and different school year, they provided school supplies for our kids and clubs. The YPN is always there when we need them, and we cannot thank them enough for their support.”
The Young Professionals Network has forged a good relationship over the years and has worked together for the kids in Bergen County. Due to the current situation that we are all facing with this pandemic, the network and the association have had to move into a different direction and coming up with other ways to continue to carry on their mission to partner with other organizations for the betterment of the community. YPN will continue to work, look for new innovative ways to give back to the community through the end of this year and beyond.
