Greater Bergen Realtors® (GBR) Hold Virtual Annual Meeting

Hasbrouck Heights, NJ – (October 15, 2020) Due to the ongoing public health impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions and guidelines on public gatherings by Governor Murphy and the state of New Jersey to ensure the health and safety of its members, employees and community as a whole Greater Bergen REALTORS® held their Annual Meeting virtually with over 300 plus members in attendance. During the meeting session, many items were addresses included the vote and approval of the 2021 Budget, Bylaws updates and changes, and 2021 Board of Directors slate.

Other items addressed were updates on the new association facilities' purchase and construction. 2020 Greater Bergen REALTORS® President, Gene Amsel said, "GBR annual meeting provides an update on what is happening at the board, We are working diligently on our new building located at 405 N Midland, Saddle Brook, NJ. Completion will hopefully take place by mid-year 2021. I want to thank all the volunteers for pivoting in this year to keep GBR running and vibrant. I want to thank the Board, Realtors Care Foundation, Committee members, the Chairs, Vice Chairs, and MLS Directors."

He continued, "I want to congratulate RPAC Hall of fame Mary Davis, Randy Lyn /Ketive, Charles Oppler, Robert Oppenheimer, and Nelson Chen. Thank you to the major investors for 2020; I am happy to report that we have raised over $160,000 for RPAC. RPAC is the reason why we were able to carry on in our industry despite the chaos due to this pandemic."

Our closing and keynote Speaker, Leigh Brown, Realtor, Personality, and the motivational speaker had a candid conversation with our membership about how to navigate through all that we are living in this year of a pandemic. Her invigorating energy transmitted even through the screen, leaving our members motivated and ready to take charge of their careers and the challenges ahead. In her presentation, she stated, "We live here. We work here. We invest here. REALTORS® are integral to the fabric of everywhere we live. As REALTORS®, we can drive positive change in our society now and going forward."
