Hasbrouck Heights, NJ – (December 15, 2020) Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR) held an intimate & private reception for the outgoing 2020 Board of Directors and 2021 Board of Directors and Executive team this past week. During the reception, now past President, Gene Amsel thanked all outgoing Directors for all the hard work and dedication during their service, especially this year.

2021 NAR President Charlie Oppler installed the incoming 2021 Board of Directors.

Alireza Memar, CIPS, CRS of Global Real Estate, was installed as the President. Mr. Memar, in his presidential speech, highlighted some of his goals for 2021, which included bringing the Association together, working with the executive team, including staff executives, to develop a strategic plan that will lay out the course of the Association for the next three years. Mr. Memar said, "I am beyond thankful and humbled to have been elected and installed as GBR's 2021 President.

Although we celebrated our first virtual BOD installation this past week, I can't help but reminisce on past installations where we were able to celebrate with all our dearest colleagues, friends, and families – nevertheless, here is to a prosperous and much smoother 2021. I am eager and hopeful for what is to come."

Yesenia Frias, of Yes-Casa Home Real Estate, was installed as 2021 First Vice-President, Nicola Esposito of Gilsenan and Company was installed as 2021 Vice-President, Robert Funabashi of Terrie O'Connor – Franklin Lakes was installed as 2021 Treasurer. All positions are 1-year terms.

Gene Amsel of Prominent Properties Sotheby's moves to his role as Immediate Past-President. As an Executive Committee member, he will continue to offer advice to the Board after his years of service with the organization.

Also elected to the Board are the following new directors who will each serve one-year, two-year, or three-year terms:

Frances Blakely and William Gilsenan will serve a one-year term, which will expire on December 31, 2021. Margaret Ajamian, Robert Oppenheimer, and James Arakelian will serve on a two-year term set to expire on December 31, 2022. Janet Ginsberg, Rhoda Moss-Latimer, Elaine Mosera, and Myles Garvey will serve a three-year term set to expire December 31, 2023.
