SIGNING OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE GREATER BERGEN REALTORS® AND THE CAMARA COSTARRICENSE DE CORREDORES DE BIENES RAICES AND THE COSTA RICA GLOBAL ASSOCIATION OF REAL ESTATE

Waldwick, NJ – (March 30, 2021) Greater Bergen Realtors® (GBR), represented by 2021 President Alireza Memar, Jorge Ledesma, Chief Executive Officer, Sandra Martinez, 2021 Global Business Council Chair & Yesenia Frias, 2021 First Vice President and the Camara Costarricense de Corredores de Bienes Raices, represented by President Adrian Mora-Solano and the Costa Rica Global Association of Real Estate, represented by Allen Lungo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. The signing of the MOU occurred virtually which highlighted the shared efforts to advance an open, inclusive, and prosperous partnership between the three organizations with a focus on working together to bring about more opportunities for the membership of all three respective organizations.

2021, President Alireza Memar said, “Signing this memorandum is the beginning of a new chapter in our long relationship with our Costa Rican counterparts. I was thrilled with the outcome and look forward to all the success there is to come from the partnership.”

The MOU reaffirms the long-standing partnership between the three organizations and builds on their previous relationship with GBR as their NAR Ambassador association. GBR First-Vice President Yesenia Frias stated, “As a newcomer to the Global Affairs arena, I am excited to be a witness to this great new venture for our association. This will bring about more valuable tools for my colleagues to expand their real estate career.” 

This MOU will influence each organization’s mission to support and provide high-quality development and professionalism for its members. With the workings of collaborating on educational seminars and potential trade missions, providing the members with the tools and essential information to excel, not only in their backyard but also overseas. Jorge Ledesma, Chief Executive Officer, stated, “Our relationship with Costa Rica’s associations, both Camara Costarricense de Corredores de Bienes Raices & the Costa Rica Global Association of Real Estate have been longstanding and beneficial. It was a clear decision for us to sign our first Memorandum of Understanding with these two organizations. We look forward to this partnership, and new opportunities for our members as our association continues to grow.”

Prior to the MOU, Global Business Council Chair, Sandra Martinez and past Council Leadership worked with the two Costa Rican organizations and with Ofelia Ulloa, President of the Confederacion Inmobiliaria De Latino America (CILA). They hosted a virtual Trade Mission back in September of 2020 to highlight some of the beauty and the benefits of investing in Costa Rica. Ms. Martinez said, “It has been such a pleasure to work with Costa Rica and with GBR. I am honored to have been able to be a part of this special moment.” Upon the signing of the MOU, the three organizations will immediately plan to host an inbound/ outbound trade mission.
