Waldwick, NJ – (July 8, 2021) The Greater Bergen Realtors® (GBR) Community Service Committee ran a month-long campaign during June collecting pet supplies for two local organizations, Real Dog Rescue & Southern Paws Inc., located in Bergen County, NJ. GBR members generously donated items on their wish lists which included, Adult & Puppy Food, Martingale Collars, Nylon Leashes, Metal Crates & Carriers, Prevention Medication, treats (Made in the USA), garbage bags & zip lock bags, among other items.
Southern Paws Inc. is an NJ-based Non-Profit 501c3 organization that works very closely with southern rescue groups and shelters to provide needed homes for dogs in the southern United States. Through their program, they work to help these southern sister organizations gain needed resources and funding that is strongly lacking. It is their goal to not only provide loving homes for these dogs but also to help better their sister shelters and shelter life in the southern United States. Southern Paws Inc, provide their own transports twice a month and send supplies down to sister shelters in need. The Real Dog Rescue was built on the passion of long-time animal advocates and friends, dedicated to helping dogs in need, regardless of their age, breed, location, or medical condition. Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home the dogs in their care by providing safe shelter through loving foster homes, medical care by a superior veterinary staff, and behavioral training with the help of a talented volunteer base. The donated items will immediately be distributed and used as these pets in dire need of donations.
All the generous donations were picked up at the Waldwick by Real Dog Rescue Co-founder Robyn Hendrix and team members Lisa Esak, and Southern Paws Inc., founder Ashley Gardenier.
Both organizations expressed their gratitude to the committee for collecting all these much-needed items for their organizations. They are looking forward to continuing with this new partnership and spreading the word and awareness of how REALTORS can help.
