Greater Bergen Realtors® Celebrates Lunar New Year 2022 with an Online Educational Event

Saddle Brook, NJ – (March 1, 2022) Greater Bergen Realtors® (GBR) Global Business Council, celebrated the 2022 Lunar New Year, commemorating the year of the Tiger.  The Lunar New Year is a celebration of the Chinese New Year, based on the lunisolar calendar.

This year’s event was held virtually, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and attracted thirty-five guests online, to learn more about traditional cultures and traditions, from China, Japan, and Korea, and was delivered by, Paula Keung, (Goosehead Insurance), Yoshi Takita (Keystone Reality, NYC) and Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) Northern New Jersey Chapter and GBR member, Soo-Yu.

“This annual celebration, although held remotely, due to Covid health emergency, continues to provide the opportunity to educate on diverse cultures and traditions, said Karen K.H. Park, GBR Global Business Council Vice-Chair. Our goal is to understand and celebrate diversity and inclusion while providing the opportunity to network with other industry leaders.”

The day’s festivities were capped off by a spirited game of kahoot.it, featuring challenging questions about Lunar New Year traditions with all winners receiving a Visa Gift Card for their efforts.
