Saddle Brook, NJ – October 21, 2022 – Greater Bergen REALTORS®(GBR) and the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service (NJMLS) have collaborated to launch the Leadership Academy. Spearheaded by GBR President, Robert Funabashi, GBR President-Elect, Margaret Ajamian, and GBR Board of Director, Nicola Esposito, the Leadership Academy will identify leaders within the association and provide them with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in the real estate profession and serve in a leadership role on the local, state, or national level.
“Among our members are some of the most talented people who have what it takes to make a positive difference. If you believe you have leadership within you, or if someone else has identified you as a leader in some capacity, then you were meant to apply for the Leadership Academy.” said Nicola Esposito.
Applications for the Leadership Academy will be open until November 11th, 2022. Potential candidates will be vetted based on their professional involvement in the real estate industry, their local community involvement, brokerage involvement, and their involvement with Greater Bergen REALTORS®, New Jersey REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS®. Applications will first be carefully reviewed by the academy Chair and Vice Chair, to then be forwarded to the Selection Committee. The Committee will then conduct candidate interviews. All selected candidates will be announced to the GBR general membership in November.
The Leadership Academy program will begin December 2022 with six monthly sessions that will continue through to graduation from the academy in June of 2023. Members will be required to graduate from the Leadership Academy with satisfactory completion. The 2023 Greater Bergen REALTORS® Leadership Academy Graduation will be followed by the Trenton Day Field Trip as a celebration of hard work and commitment to the program. Tuition cost will be waived for the Leadership Academy’s first year pilot program.
