Saddle Brook, NJ – November 9, 2022- At the close of their 2022 Annual Membership Meeting and Affiliate Trade Show, Greater Bergen REALTORS®, REALTORS® Care Foundation (RCF) held their charitable “50/50” raffle for all participating attendees of the event, where the raffle prizes were distributed to three winners.  

The “50/50” raffle was an opportunity to raise funds for the RCF, who provides grant money to local non-profit organizations directly involved in housing-related charity and support. The Care Foundation gives added strength and support to GBR’s mission of giving back and is an avenue for REALTOR® members to do so much more than sell houses by being involved in helping their neighbors. With fifty percent of the proceeds of the raffle tickets going directly to RCF’s cause, donations of REALTOR® members who donate can provide their support to the organization’s mission to help their community. 

2022 President of Greater Bergen REALTORS®, Robert Funabashi, and 2022 REALTORS® Care Foundation President, Maureen Mamunes, took the stage at the end of the Annual Meeting to draw the winners of the “50/50” raffle. This year’s recipient of the third-place prize was Angela Fernillo, and recipient of the second-place prize was Joyce Powell. The recipient of the first-place “50/50” raffle prize was longstanding GBR member, Charlene Barbetta. Charlene is one of the 2022 REALTORS® Care Foundation Trustees, a volunteer member who generously gave her winnings back to the organization to support their efforts to help the local communities in which their members live and work. “I have always found ways to volunteer throughout my entire career, and it is so rewarding to see how you can change the lives of others by helping in any way you can.” said Charlene.  

In 2023, Greater Bergen REALTORS® will continue hosting association events in tandem with the REALTORS® Care Foundation for their members to network and come together to participate in fundraising efforts that lend support to their shared mission.
