Saddle Brook, NJ – December 20, 2022- Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR) hosted their annual holiday installation and gala on December 15, 2022 at The Rockleigh, in Rockleigh, NJ. The highly anticipated end of the year event was an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the association’s outgoing Board of Directors and Executive team for the year 2022.
The Installation began with an opening remark by GBR Chief Executive Officer, Jorge Ledesma, who thanked all association members for bringing GBR’s achievements to fruition in 2022. “Our members are the heart of our association; I want you to know that your support and participation have been the biggest drive towards our continued growth. We continue to focus on our mission to empower the success of those we serve through connections, advocacy, resources, and education.”
The event recognized 2022 NJMLS President Audra Fontanella, NJMLS Board of Directors, 2022 RPAC Major Investors, 2022 REALTORS® Care Foundation Trustees, 2022 New Jersey REALTORS® Quarter Century Club inductees, and GBR committee chairs and vice chairs for their collective hard work and dedication in the past calendar year.
After a heartfelt message to all, 2022 President, Robert Funabashi, welcomed Greater Bergen REALTORS® association award recipients to the podium for their accolades. The 2022 GBR REALTOR® of the Year Award was received by Charles Oppler, and the 2022 GBR Good Neighbor Award was received by Zachary Lisella.
Immediate Past President, Alireza Memar, was recognized for his years of service, as he stepped down from his Executive role. President Funabashi was acknowledged for his success as GBR leader and was awarded a plaque on behalf of GBR’s REALTORS® Care Foundation Board of Trustees.
New Jersey REALTORS® 2019 President, Ilene Horowitz, presented the official installation of the Greater Bergen REALTORS® 2023 Board of Directors and Executive team.
President Funabashi was installed as Immediate Past President, alongside 2023 Treasurer, Janet Ginsberg, Vice President, Nicola Esposito, and President-Elect, Lisa Comito. Margaret Ajamian was officially installed as the 2023 President of Greater Bergen REALTORS®. In her closing address, Margaret expressed, “Thank you to our Board of Directors for their ongoing efforts to make our association relevant for our members and providing the most up to date information to make our jobs just a little bit better. I look forward to working with the new 2023 Executive leadership and Board of Directors, and making great things happen in the coming year.”
Also elected to the 2023 Board of Directors:
Bonnie Borghi, Elaine Mosera, Frances Blakely, James Arakelian, Jack Koumbis, Dalia Flores, Myles Garvey, Rhoda Moss-Latimer, Robert Oppenheimer, William Gilsenan Jr., Evelyn Paladino, and John Johnson.
The annual Installation and Gala is widely known by members of the association for its elegant cocktail hour, gourmet ballroom reception, music, and dancing. The cocktail hour was sponsored by GBR affiliate partner, NJ Lenders. The evening’s cigar roller was sponsored by long-standing affiliate partner, Main Street Title. The Gala was an exciting evening with a three-course meal, great music, and a live drummer all for members to enjoy as the celebrated 2022.
