Saddle Brook, NJ – (January 9, 2023) The Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR) Community Service Committee partnered with Jersey Cares for their annual winter coat collection during the month of December 2022 and into the first week of January 2023. The committee collected over 300 coats. These coats will keep men, women, and children in the area warm throughout the coldest months of this winter season.

For over 20 years, Jersey Cares Coat Drive has mobilized the collection and distribution of thousands of "gently used" winter coats to men, women, children, and infants in need. Last year, Jersey Cares collected more than 20,000 coats throughout the state of New Jersey. Companies, churches, police stations, schools, and other organizations collect coats throughout the drive and deliver them to a central location, where volunteers then organize the donated coats and package them for pick-up. Our approved nonprofit partners then pick up and distribute the coats to people in need.

2022 chair, Hilda Williams, said, “This is one of the staple initiatives that we as a committee thoroughly enjoy.” She continued, “It is always a humbling experience to see the generosity of our membership.”
