Saddle Brook, NJ – May 2, 2023 – Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR), REALTORS® Care Foundation (RCF) and Community Service Committee joined Rebuilding Together North Jersey (RTNJ) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 164 on April 29th, for National Rebuilding Day 2023. The group, with over 50 volunteers from the association, helped repair a home in New Milford, NJ, for single mother, Ms. Littrean and her two young children. A weekend prior, the team of dedicated members were on site at Ms. Littrean's home to begin demolition and prep-work for the April 29th event.
The volunteers were all smiles and positive spirits this past Saturday, despite the stormy grey skies! With paintbrushes, tools, and floor plans in hand, the group was able to complete interior renovations to the New Milford home, including an updated kitchen with new appliances, electrical fixes throughout the house, and updates to multiple rooms. “There are really no words,” said grateful homeowner, Patricia Littrean, “A million thank-yous would not remedy what you guys are doing for me. I had an amazing experience and am truly appreciative of everything that Greater Bergen REALTORS has done for me and my family."
