Saddle Brook, NJ – July 12, 2023 – This June, the Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR), REALTORS® Care Foundation (RCF) awarded over $35,000 in scholarships to high school seniors in 51 local school districts throughout Bergen County, NJ. The annual initiative has grown exponentially over the last few years, thanks to the dedication of the RCF and ongoing support from the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service (NJMLS).
Greater Bergen REALTORS®, REALTORS® Care Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization within GBR that provides grants to organizations and those in need within the community from donations received by its REALTOR® members, and with financial support from the NJMLS.
Last month, RCF Trustee members visited the 51 schools during their graduation ceremonies to present scholarships to the selected college-bound students, celebrating them for their exceptional academic achievement. Scholarship recipients were selected based on their academic success and excellence, their desire to pursue a career in business or business management including real estate endeavors, and their community service involvement.
“It is an honor to be able to provide support to young adults in our community through scholarships for their postsecondary education. The Foundation stands for community betterment, and assisting these graduates is another way to ensure that our neighborhoods grow stronger by helping shape future leaders,” said RCF President Maureen Mamunes, adding, “We are grateful to all RCF supporters, who participate in events throughout the year, which enables us to expand our scholarship outreach to more worthy recipients.”
