Saddle Brook, NJ – August 15, 2023 - Throughout their yearlong campaign, Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR) Young Professionals Network (YPN) has held several food-packaging events at GBR headquarters in Saddle Brook to aid the mission of non-profit organization and community partner, Kids Against Hunger®.
Last week, YPN and GBR's Community Service Committee teamed up for another food-packaging event, where they were joined by leaders of Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS® leadership, 2023 President, Tony D'Anzica, and Immediate Past President, Anthony Domathoti.
The Young Professionals Network’s mission is to enhance their careers and communities via networking, education, and community service. This year, the committee is working with Kids Against Hunger®, setting a goal to provide 50,000 meals to impoverished children and families locally and across the globe.
Kids Against Hunger®, whose mission is to ensure that no one goes to bed hungry, provides fully nutritious food to impoverished children, individuals, and families around the world and around the corner. Since 2015, Kids Against Hunger® has packaged and distributed over 980,000 meals both locally and nationally.
Executive Director of Kids Against Hunger, Philadelphia, Heather Griesser LaPierre, joined YPN and Community Service Committee volunteers at GBR headquarters this week to package 10,000 non-perishable, hunger-reversing meals that will then be delivered to those in need in our local area, and overseas to Africa to communities in need.
"Thank you to all the YPN and Community Service members and volunteers that made this packing event possible, making us 10,000 meals closer to our goal of 50k meals packaged and distributed to those in need this year." said 2023 YPN Vice Chair, Xavier Vargas.
