Saddle Brook, NJ - June 18, 2024 - Greater Bergen REALTORS® hosted the annual Midyear Meeting& Affiliate Trade Show last week at the Teaneck Marriott At Glenpointe for over 300 members.
The highly anticipated event began with a gourmet breakfast and networking in the grand ballroom, where members mingled and met with event sponsors, Main Street Title & Settlement Services; Think Mortgage; Top Notch Moving & Storage LLC.; Ferrer Goldfine Law Group; Clever Inspections; NJ Lenders Corp. Mortgage Bankers; East Coast Capital; Crown Home Mortgage; AnnieMac Home Mortgage; Bond Street Mortgage; NextGen Mortgage; Prestige Cleaning; and Legacy Mortgage Group Inc.
After opening remarks from GBR Chief Executive Officer, Jorge Ledesma, 2024 President, Lisa Comito took the stage, addressing members: "Greater Bergen REALTORS empowers the success of those we serve by focusing on connections, advocacy, resources, and education. Our goal this year is to highlight our REALTOR value to the public, our value as an association to our members, and a focus on helping you with health and mental well-being."
President Comito provided association events and education updates, the charitable REALTORS® Care Foundation report, and shared a message on the importance of RPAC. New Jersey REALTORS® Director of RPAC & Regulatory Affairs, Bruce Shapiro, added further insights into RPAC updates, and shared information on the Buyer Agency Agreements and NJ REALTORS® legislative updates.
President-Elect, Nicola Esposito, joined Comito in announcing two association applications that are now open, the GBR 2024 REALTOR® Of The Year and the 2025 Board of Directors. Both application deadlines are July 3, 2024.
Keynote speakers, from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) special agents, Joseph Cardosi and Joe Sullivan spoke on real estate fraud, identity theft, wire fraud, money laundering, terrorism financing, and mortgage fraud. The speakers offered education and insight on how to protect yourself and your business from scams.
The 2024 GBR & NJMLS Leadership Academy Graduation Ceremony commenced at the Midyear Meeting, where twelve graduates received their diplomas on the center stage.
