Saddle Brook, NJ – July 9, 2024 - Greater Bergen REALTORS® Young Professionals Network (YPN) prioritizes their fundraising efforts to support local community organizations that change lives and make a difference. Recently, YPN raised money to donate $1,500 to The Society For The Prevention Of Teen Suicide, and $2,500 to the REALTORS® Relief Foundation.

In their continued partnership with Kids Against Hunger since 2023, YPN, has aided the organization in packing a total of 50,000 meals to hungry children and families locally and internationally. This month, YPN and the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service (NJMLS) joined forces to pack 10,000 meals that were distributed to non-profit organizations, The Food Brigade and The Triboro Food Pantry. “The New Jersey Multiple Listing Service is so pleased we were able to sponsor the YPN Kids Against Hunger Food Packing Event again this year and help volunteer to support our local communities. We appreciate all the efforts of the GBR staff and YPN to coordinate this event and the great work done by the Kids Against Hunger organization,” stated NJMLS Executive Director, Michelle Perino.

"As part of our commitment to helping those in need the committee made two donations this summer. Firstly, to the Realtor Relief Foundation. This spring the country has seen an unprecedented number of tornadoes, some of them destroying entire communities." states GBR past president and YPN member, Robert Funabashi. The REALTORS® Relief Foundation is NAR’s boots on the ground, always ready to help those in need. Our $2,500 donation puts GBR’s YPN committee on the same levels as other regional REALTOR® associations and MLS’."

"Secondly, YPN’s newest initiative recognizes The Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide. In this effort the committee looked for a cause that would make an impact on society's youngest members. Suicide is the second-leading cause of death for teens and young adults, ages 10-34. Thanks to our fundraising events, we were able to raise and donate $1,500 to The Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide.
