Saddle Brook, NJ - January 17, 2025 - New Jersey REALTORS® and Greater Bergen REALTORS® in conjunction with North Central Jersey Association of REALTORS® and Liberty Board of REALTORS® hosted The Next Era Of Real Estate on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott for their collective association members.

Greater Bergen REALTORS® 2025 President, Nicola Esposito introduced the keynote panelists for The Next Era Of Real Estate Special Fireside Chat with National Association of REALTORS® CEO, Nykia Wright and New Jersey REALTORS® CEO, Jarrod Grasso.

The Fireside Chat was an exclusive opportunity for members to get to know Nykia Wright, hearing about her plan to lead the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), their members, and consumers into a brighter future in real estate in the days ahead. Nykia took questions from members in attendance, sharing insights into her approach to leadership within her CEO role at NAR, the largest trade association in the country.

What do you see as NAR's role in the future of the real estate industry?

"NAR is leveraging our expertise and understanding that we have direct contact to you, our members. We have a healthy and growing surrogate program; because we have the megaphone, we are pumping out information at a speed that is breakneck. We are continuing to transform the communications to our members and our consumers. We are anchoring ourselves in data in ways we haven't done before. We will work to understand what our members are asking for and then use this to answer who we will be tomorrow," states NAR CEO, Nykia Wright.

Over 300 attendees of REALTORS®, broker members, and local and state association executives had the unique opportunity to hear from National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Deputy Chief Economist, Dr. Jessica Lautz, who provided invaluable real estate market updates and information from NAR, including hyper-local data for the state of New Jersey.

New Jersey REALTORS® General Counsel, Yuliya Tedeschi presented the audience with New Jersey legal updates, covering topical industry issues such as the Real Estate Consumer Protection Enhancement Act (NJCPEA), agency, and cooperation, among others. Tedeschi then provided members important NJR resources from the legal library and fielded questions from the audience.
