Hackensack, NJ — August 7, 2025 — As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting local communities, Greater Bergen REALTORS ® (GBR) Community Outreach Committee proudly joined the Family Promise Bergen County’s Walk-In Dinner at the Bergen County Human Services Center in Hackensack, NJ, on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Volunteers assisted in the preparation and distribution of hot meals to residents of the Bergen County homeless shelter as well as to food-insecure community members who arrived as walk-in guests.
During the event, volunteers greeted attendees, assisted in the portioning of meals, maintained a clean and welcoming dining environment, and offered friendly conversation to help create a sense of dignity and connection among participants. This initiative reflects GBR’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for those most in need in Bergen County.
The Community Outreach Committee is proud to support Family Promise, a local nonprofit committed to preventing and ending homelessness for families with children. Family Promise helps families achieve sustainable independence through a thoughtful, community-based response, offering many supportive services.

The Walk-In Dinner Program provides a hot, nutritious meal every evening to shelter residents and food-insecure individuals in the community, offering comfort, boosting self-esteem, and a welcoming environment for all who attend.
