Saddle Brook, NJ — October 16, 2025 — On October 16, the Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR) Broker Council and Grievance Committees proudly hosted an exclusive broker event, “2025 NAR Code of Ethics, Made Simple: Real Talk, Real Scenarios, Real Solutions,” at GBR Headquarters in Saddle Brook.
The informative session, with speaker Teresa Tilton, Director of Professional Services at New Jersey REALTORS®, offered brokers a clear and practical breakdown of the 2025 National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Code of Ethics updates. Tailored specifically for brokers, the event focused on real-world examples of how these updates apply to typical day-to-day, common areas of risk, and best practices for being ethical and compliant within their offices.
Attendees participated in engaging discussions and a Q&A session, exploring real scenarios and strategies for effective risk management. The presentation provided brokers with the tools to confidently interpret and apply the updated Code in their teams.
“At the heart of the 2025 Code of Ethics is a simple but powerful truth: communication is the foundation of trust. Whether broker to broker or agent to client, our words must reflect professionalism, honesty, and respect our industry demands,” said MaryJane Tarabocchia, Broker Council Chair. “The Code of Ethics isn’t just a rulebook, it’s our shared commitment to clarity, integrity, and the public we serve.”
By hosting events like this, the Broker Council and Grievance Committees reinforce Greater Bergen REALTORS®’ ongoing mission to promote education, ethics, and professional growth among its members.
