Saddle Brook, NJ — April 20, 2026 — On Thursday, April 18th, members of the Greater Bergen REALTORS® Community Outreach Committee visited Oasis – A Haven for Women and Children, a nonprofit organization in Paterson dedicated to supporting women and children in need. 

The visit was organized by the Community Outreach Committee, led by Chair Mia Forsberg-Villon and Co-Chair Kathleen Wickland. The initiative brought together volunteers committed to giving back and strengthening connections within the local community. 

A special thank you goes to Lourdes Henry, who initiated the connection and coordinated the visit, creating a seamless opportunity for members to step in and serve. 

Committee members Tony Fasano, Josephine Taylor, Darlene Feliciano, Mary Brennan, and Jane Legaspi joined in the effort, continuing their shared commitment to community service. 

During the visit, volunteers stepped into the kitchen to assist with meal preparation and service. From chopping food to serving meals, the experience offered a meaningful and hands-on way to support those in need. 

“Today, we put aside our REALTORS® hats and stepped into the kitchen, chopping food, preparing meals, and serving those in need,” said Mia Forsberg-Villon. “It was a hands-on reminder that giving back goes beyond our profession. It is about showing up, being present, and making a difference where it matters most.” 

Moments like these reflect the mission of Greater Bergen REALTORS® to support organizations that provide safety, dignity, and hope to women and children throughout the community.
