Saddle Brook, NJ – August 11, 2026 – Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR) Community Outreach Committee successfully concluded its Annual Back-to-School Backpack Supply Drive, helping provide local students with the supplies they need for the upcoming school year. Thanks to the generosity of GBR members, local businesses, and community supporters, dozens of children will receive backpacks filled with essential school supplies before heading back to the classroom.
The backpacks, donated by Built Right Generators LLC, were filled with school supplies such as notebooks, folders, crayons, glue sticks, pencils, and other classroom essentials. The completed backpacks will be distributed to children through the Social Service Association, CAMP Youth Development Program, and Never Alone Again Resource Center, three organizations dedicated to supporting local youth and families.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s backpack drive such a success,” said 2026 Community Outreach Chair Mia Villon. “Together, we were able to fill more than 400 backpacks with school supplies for local students. It’s great to see our members and community partners come together to support local families and help students start the school year prepared.”
The backpack drive was organized by the GBR Community Outreach Committee, who encouraged contributions from individual GBR members, brokerage offices, committees, and community partners. Donations were collected in person and through an Amazon Wish List, making it easy for members to participate and support the initiative.
Greater Bergen REALTORS® thanks everyone who contributed to this year's drive, as well as Built Right Generators LLC for donating the backpacks. Their generosity will help local students start the school year prepared and ready to learn.
