Saddle Brook, NJ — August 12, 2026 — Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR), in collaboration with Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH), welcomed members to its third annual Health Expo on August 12, 2026, at GBR Headquarters in Saddle Brook. The free member-exclusive event connected REALTORS® with healthcare professionals, preventive screenings, and wellness resources designed to make prioritizing their health both convenient and accessible.
The partnership between Greater Bergen REALTORS® and Hackensack Meridian Health supports the common goal of supporting stronger, healthier communities. Just as REALTORS® help individuals and families find a place to call home, Hackensack Meridian Health provides the care and resources that help those communities thrive. By bringing trusted healthcare services directly to members, the Health Expo reinforces the connection between home, health, and overall community well-being.
Throughout the day, members took advantage of complimentary wellness screenings that delivered immediate results without requiring fasting. Screenings included blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), pulse, glucose, cholesterol, and stroke risk assessments, allowing attendees to learn about their overall health in just minutes.
The event also showed the importance of early detection through a variety of cancer prevention resources. Members received free colon cancer FIT kits, prostate-specific antigen (PSA) information and take-home materials, and genetic screening home kits to better understand inherited cancer risks. These preventive services reinforced the importance of routine screenings and proactive healthcare.
Throughout the day, hourly raffles awarded attendees comprehensive Angio Screen Heart Attack and Stroke Risk Assessments, each valued at more than $200. Winners received carotid artery ultrasounds, blood pressure and heart rhythm screenings, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and peripheral artery disease (PAD) evaluations, a personalized report of their results, educational materials, and a private consultation with a registered nurse.

In addition to the screenings, representatives from numerous Hackensack Meridian Health specialty programs were available to answer questions and provide educational resources on diabetes management, weight loss and metabolic health, breast health, sleep medicine, allergy care, cancer prevention, fitness and wellness, behavioral health, men's and women's health, pediatric services, and trauma care. Throughout the event, attendees also had the opportunity to participate in live American Heart Association CPR demonstrations, giving members practical, lifesaving skills they can use to respond confidently in emergency situations.
During the Health Expo, healthcare professionals administered preventive screenings to more than 80 attendees, helping members better understand their health through quick, accessible testing. Preventive screenings play a critical role in early detection, with the CDC noting that regular screenings can identify conditions before symptoms appear, often leading to more effective treatment and improved health outcomes.
