Greater Bergen REALTORS® Wraps Up Successful 2025 Midyear Meeting & Affiliate Trade Show
Saddle Brook, NJ, June 16, 2025 — Greater Bergen REALTORS® (GBR) proudly hosted its 2025 Midyear Meeting & Affiliate Trade Show on June 12, 2025 at the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe, drawing a crowd of over 300 members for a morning of education, networking, and celebration.
Total Housing Inventory Increases 8.1%
Saddle Brook, NJ – May 25, 2025 - U.S. existing-home sales decreased 5.9% month-over-month and 2.4% year-over-year to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.02 million units, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), as affordability challenges and economic uncertainty weigh on market activity. Sales were down month-over-month in all four regions, with the West experiencing the largest decline, at 9.4%.
U.S. Existing-Home Sales Rebound In March
Saddle Brook, NJ – April 28, 2025 - U.S. existing-home sales rebounded from the previous month, rising 4.2% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.26 million units, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). Economists polled by Reuters had forecast sales would fall to a rate of 3.95 million for the month. Purchase activity increased in the South and the West but decreased in the Northeast, while sales in the Midwest remained unchanged from one month earlier.

Elevated Home Prices & Higher Interest Rates Continue To Impact Buyer Activity
Saddle Brook, NJ - March 25, 2025 - U.S. existing-home sales fell for the first time since September, slipping 4.9% month-over-month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.08 million units, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), as elevated home prices and higher interest rates continue to impact buyer activity. Despite the drop, sales were up 2% compared to the same period last year, marking the fourth consecutive monthly year-over-year increase.

Housing Demand Continues To Put Upward Pressure On Sales Prices
Saddle Brook, NJ – September 24, 2024 - U.S. existing-home sales increased for the first time in 5 months, as lower mortgage rates and rising supply helped boost market activity. According to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), sales of previously owned homes rose 1.3% month-over-month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.95 million units, exceeding economists’ expectations and ending the downward trend of recent months.
