Saddle Brook, NJ — December 31, 2025 — U.S. sales of existing homes rose 1.2% from the previous month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.10 million, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), as buyers took advantage of lower mortgage rates this fall. Sales increased in the Midwest and South, held steady in the Northeast, and edged down in the West. Year-over-year, sales were up 1.7%, with gains in the Northeast, Midwest, and South, while the West posted a decline. 

Saddle Brook, NJ — November 26, 2025 — U.S. existing-home sales climbed 1.5% month-over-month and 4.1% year-over-year, reaching a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.06 million units, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). The increase was partly driven by falling mortgage rates, which recently hit their lowest level in more than a year. Regionally, monthly sales advanced in the Northeast, South, and West, while the Midwest experienced a slight decline.

Saddle Brook, NJ — October 31, 2025 — U.S. existing-home sales were virtually unchanged from the previous month, dipping just 0.2% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.0 million units, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). Most of these transactions went under contract in June and July, when mortgage rates were 40 to 50 basis points higher than current levels. Year-over-year, sales increased 1.8%, with the strongest activity occurring in the Midwest, where the typical home price is 22% below the national median.

Saddle Brook, NJ — October 1, 2025 — U.S. existing-home sales rose 2.0% month-over-month and 0.8% year-over-year to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.01 million units, according to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). Economists polled by Reuters had forecast a rate of 3.92 million units. Regionally, sales increased on a monthly basis in the West, South, and Northeast, but declined in the Midwest.
