AWARDS & RECOGNITION
GBR REALTOR® OF THE YEAR
The REALTOR® of the Year is the highest and most coveted award that can be bestowed by one’s peers. This award is based on the outstanding contributions of a REALTOR® to Greater Bergen REALTORS®,  New Jersey REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. The recipient must demonstrate what is called “REALTOR® Spirit”, which is embodied by faithfulness to the principles of the REALTOR® organization, professionalism, and the Code of Ethics.
 
Nomination Criteria: 

  • REALTOR® Spirit

  • Local Association Activity

  • State Association Activity

  • National Association Activity

  • Business Accomplishments

  • Community Service and Involvement, and/or Humanitarian Services

GOOD NEIGHBOR AWARD
The GBR Good Neighbor Award will be presented to one REALTOR® who has made extraordinary commitments to improving the quality of life in their local and/or global communities through volunteer community service. In addition to receiving the award, $1,000.00 will be donated by GBR to the winner’s charity of choice.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nominees must be members of GBR in good standing.
  • Nominees should have contributed to a program that improves the livability of a local community. Those activities are not limited to real estate or housing issues.
  • Nominees should have made a significant contribution to personal time, but contributions of money, materials, or other resources will be considered as well.
  • The award is intended to recognize individual contributions, not the association- or company-wide efforts.
  • The nominee’s community work must have taken place between January 2023 and April 2024, but ongoing efforts outside that time frame that demonstrate a history of commitment will be considered.

GOOD NEIGHBOR
RISING STAR AWARD
The Greater Bergen REALTORS® “Rising Star Award” recognizes current and potential professional achievement by a newly licensed sales agent as well as high moral and ethical character and promising success in the real estate industry. Nominations may be submitted by the Broker or Principal/Manager of Primary GBR member firms through a typed two-page description of the candidate’s qualifications.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • A GBR member in good standing as of December 31, 2025.
  • Less than three years as a salesperson/agent; initially licensed after January 1, 2023.
The Following Sections, Number 3-8 Must Be Addressed in Separate Paragraphs with Examples
  • Has exhibited sound moral character and high ethical professional behavior
  • A list of the transactions in which the salesperson/agent, had a meaningful role demonstrating the ability to originate, analyze, negotiate and close deals. Included on the list should be the dollar value and if the agent acted independently or as a member of a team or partnership.
  • Displayed leadership qualities with good teamwork skills
  • Has already contributed to the firm’s success
  • Has participated in charitable endeavors.
  • Actively engaged in GBR events and meetings.

QUARTER CENTURY CLUB

The Quarter Century Club honors NJ Realtor® members who have served as Realtors® or Realtor-Associates® faithfully in New Jersey for 25 years or more. 

Requirements:

  • Quarter Century Club membership is open to all members of New Jersey Realtors® who have held an active, Realtor® or Realtor-Associate® membership with NJ Realtors® for 25 years or more.
  • Proof of 25 years of membership must be submitted with your application. Obtaining proof is the responsibility of the applicant. You may utilize your local board(s)/association(s) to acquire the necessary paperwork. Note: active license with the New Jersey Real Estate Commission does not constitute active membership status.
  • $10 application fee to be submitted with your application. Please make checks payable to: Greater Bergen Realtors. 

What You Get:

  • Commemorative Quarter Century Club Pin and Certificate
  • Special recognition at the 2025 Triple Play Realtor® Convention and Trade Expo
  • Use of the Quarter Century Club logo on your business cards and website

NJ REALTORS® CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE SALES AWARD®

This prestigious program comprises two awards: The NJ Realtors® Circle of Excellence® Sales Award® and the NJ Realtors® Distinguished Sales Club. Applications will be open in late summer.

The NJ Realtors® Circle of Excellence® Sales Award® recognizes those members who have demonstrated excellence in the field of salesmanship.

The Award Levels are:

  • Platinum: $20 million and 30 units minimum, or 125 units
  • Gold: $12 million and 25 units minimum, or 90 units
  • Silver: $6.5 million and 20 units minimum, or 70 units
  • Bronze: $2.5 million and 15 units minimum, or 30 units

The NJ Realtors® Distinguished Sales Club Award is presented to NJ Realtors® members who have been recipients of the Circle of Excellence® Sales Award® for 10 years (which need not be consecutively earned).

New for 2023! All applications must be submitted online and approved by the broker/office manager prior to the application deadline. Applications that are not submitted or approved cannot be reviewed and will not be eligible to receive the award. There are no exceptions or appeals to this rule. It is highly recommended that applicants check with their broker to ensure ample time is allotted for the review and approval process.
