We provide the less fortunate and deserving men, women, & children in NYC, NY, & NJ with backpacks filled with the bare essentials: Snacks, Bottled Water, Sanitary/Hygiene Products, Non-perishable Foods, Clothes, Blankets, and MORE! We encourage you to MAKE IT YOUR OWN…WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE THEM TO HAVE?
Every backpack will have a handwritten note of encouragement with a first name so they have someone to be grateful for and the feeling of HOPE. We give a list of free resources so they can CHANGE, and with our motto JL=JUST LOVE, we spread the message that when you share love, more love comes back, so they have LIFE!! This will continue to be the standard on all the backpacks we hand out!

The mission of The Food Brigade is to ensure that no child or adult in New Jersey goes hungry. Our primary service is to provide food, whether in the form of prepared meals or fresh and packaged foods, to families and individuals in need.
We accomplish our mission by building and operating a network of providers and volunteers who assist in the acquisition, transport, preparation, distribution, and delivery of meals and food to those in need. Our focus is on reaching those who "fall through the cracks" in existing services.
Our guiding principle is compassion for our fellow man.

A Formation From Necessity
Within hours of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, efforts were launched by the NAR Executive Leadership team to secure contributions to aid those impacted.
The National Association of REALTORS® utilized its leadership, infrastructure and standing as the world’s largest trade association to rally members and supporters. Donors stood in solidarity with fellow countrymen and countrywomen to help impacted families rise from the rubble and ash. More than $8.4 million poured in to provide urgent housing-related assistance for those struggling in the aftermath. Funds were raised and distributed within 100 days to ensure families remained in their homes.
